Susan Shapiro is a Manhattan journalism professor who has written for the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, The Nation, Salon.com, The Forward, Village Voice, People, More, Glamour, and Cosmopolitan. She's the nonfiction columnist for Writer's Digest, co-editor of the anthology "Food for the Soul," and author of the acclaimed books "Only as Good as Your Word," "Lighting Up," "Secrets of a Fix-Up Fanatic," and "Five Men Who Broke My Heart" which was optioned for a feature film. She's appeared on The Today Show, Dateline, Good Day New York, E! Entertainment and prime time on ABC and the Oxygen network.
